UNITE Program

The Unite Program at Holloman AFB provides Commanders with funding to initiate programs that will benefit all Airmen in their unit including assigned Activity Duty and APF/NAF Civilians. Family members are welcome to participate in the programs but must pay their expenses. Program funding is allocated based on unit end strength as of 30 September on a calendar year basis.

Hosting Your First Event

  1. Complete the POC Appointment Letter: Squadron Commanders, please complete the APPOINTMENT LETTER and email it to jamille.jackson.1@us.af.mil
  2. Event Planning: Meet with the UNITE Coordinator to discuss your objectives, event ideas, and ensure all details are input into the Event Planning Worksheet.
  3. Event Planning Worksheet: Submit your event proposal to the UNITE Coordinator at LEAST 14 days before Ready to Execute events and 30 days before Unit Developed Programs. This is a FIRM date for submission.
  4. Have Fun at Your Event!
  5. After Action Report: Submit the After Action information one business day after your event! We are relying on you to provide detailed after action information to improve the program

Allocation is based on manpower unit strength numbers. (UNITE Coordinator can confirm your allocation)

Allocation is used 1 time per member per year.

General Information

  • In August 2016, Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF) General David Goldfein, released his letter to Airmen titled, “The Beating Heart of the Air Force… Squadrons! In turn, AFSVA was asked to establish an activity-rich program that would empower Squadrons/Units with options to facilitate cohesion.
  • The UNITE Program was developed to provide squadron leaders with the maximum flexibility to deliver programs that build cohesion for personnel within their unit.
  • This includes assigned Active Duty and both APF and NAF Civilians. Family members are welcome to participate in activities using funds allocated to assigned personnel with commander approval.

Funding

  • Activity must be a teambuilding/cohesive event. (No change of command, training, retirement/promotion)
  • Activity funding can only be used for rentals and supplies (think 1 time use).
  • Food funding can only be approved with an activity, but activity can be free.
  • Funding CAN’T be used for alcohol and prizes
  • Funds CAN’T be used to augment holiday parties on or off the installation.
  • UNITE Coordinator will make payments on your behalf. Reimbursements are NOT authorized.
